Getting to the center of Madrid is easy enough-- all major roads (A-I,
A-II, A-III A-IV and A-V) are headed right into the city center. Roads are
well maintained and well marked M30 is the inner circle highway and is
heavily trafficked. Outside of main commute hours, the traffic is
manageable despite Madrid's famed aggressive drivers. Inside Madrid, Paseo de la Castellana
is virtually always gridlocked during rush-hour periods. Luck and patience
will be your best ally in finding parking. Be sure get a parking ticket
from the automated parking meters and place the receipt on the dash of your car.
If you will be staying for more than 3 hours, park your car in one of numerous
parking garages located throughout the city.
