Ibiza's international airport is situated 6km southwest of Ibiza Town. In the airport, the efficient turisme (May-Sept daily 10am-midnight) can provide maps and lists of the island's accommodation as well as details of vehicle rental. Several car rental firms have desks in the Arrivals lounge too. From the airport you can take a bus (hourly 7.30am-10.30pm; €1.10, or a taxi (€10.20), into Ibiza Town.
Ibiza Town has two ferry terminals : one near the foot of Avgda. Sta Eulària for local boats along the Ibiza coast and to Formentera, and the other on Passeig des Moll for the Spanish mainland and Mallorca.
The waterfront is just a stone's throw from the lower town - the old port area - which divides into two quarters, La Marina and Sa Penya. From here, it's a brief walk straight ahead to the walls of the Dalt Vila , literally "High Town". The unattractive, concrete-clad new town is round to the west, beyond the Passeig Vara de Rey. The bus station is in the new town on Avgda. Isidor Macabich, but most services - including those from the airport - pass close to the harbour front.
Ibiza's main turisme is on the harbour front on Passeig des Moll (June-Sept Mon-Fri 8.30am-2.30pm & 5-7pm, Sat 9.30am-1.30pm; Oct-May Mon-Fri 8.30am-2.30pm; tel 971 301 900).
