Fuente Vaqueros Lorca museum, Granada

To the west of the city, in the pleasant vega village of Fuente Vaqueros, the birthplace of Federico García Lorca, Andalucía's greatest poet and dramatist, has been transformed into a museum (guided visits on the hour Tues-Sun 10am-1pm & 5-7pm; ?1.80), and contains a highly evocative collection of Lorca memorabilia. Buses operated by Ureña (hourly from 8am; 20min) leave from Granada's Avenida de Andaluces, fronting the train station.
